With reference to your letter number 19499/1919,

dated 21st. instant, I am commanded by the Army Council

to request that you will kindly state whether you wish

that the arrangements for the return to Hong Kong of the

men belonging to the Hong Kong Police should be carried

out by this department or by the Colonial Office.

I would mention that some of the men, when asked to

furnish certain particulars in connection with their

repatriation, replied that all transactions with regard

to their return would be carried out by the Crown Agents

for the Colonies.
